Turned it off and back on and all good, thanks for the help...
Quick Q - should I be turning it on/off at the socket or to hold the channels do I need to keep it on standby all the time?

I'm on n** dublin and i only get about 139 channels, you could try a manual scan on the frequency for those channels your missing which on mine is 339.000, might bring them back.
Also as I see cactikid has mentioned I flashed mine to sw 7.09 it had got 8.00 on before flash.

normally u use v.7.09 for irl.so if u factory reset then reflash with 7.09 and emu to on.
do not scan thru splitters as u will lose channels.

Thanks...a pal of mine is also in Dub and using api 8.0 and the box came with 8.0API already loaded on it - would it be worth re-scanning or should I definately be using 7.09???
Getting 172 channels with the scan (incl radio) but only 130 coming up.....?
So question is API 8.0 or API 7.09?

i changed mine to 7.09 cause my box kept rebooting, but a friend of mine and a few others i know are still using 8.00 and no probs so i think its up to yourself, mine also came with 8.00 on it.
maybe try the scan on the frequency sure you can always reflash later.

hi guys, did a scan on 339 but nothing came up, still missing the rte, network 2, tv3 etc....
Do I need to make any other changes or do you recommend I flash my box from 8.0 to 7.09?
Thanks

Thanks Noel, will do that later this evening. There are 4/5 options in the manual scan menu, do I only need to change frequency or do I also need to adjust other settings?
Thanks

When you go into manual scan, at the top you`ll see the down freq.
input 339500. symbol rate should be 6887Ksps.
Go down to network scan & switch from disable to enable > press ok & it should then scan & pick the channels up.
Make sure you`re scanning on n*l.

Press menu > 1570 & see if you can access the cas menu. If so, turn the "key emu" on.
Go to "set default key" press ok & exit to s*y sports & let it update.

Hi Noelyf,
I have done this several times but still sits with 0% update. I have checked firmware etc its 7.09 so its uptodate....just puzzled as to see if there is a prob of using the TW channel search as there is no virgin in the choices.

Try a scan on a different provider from the main feed (no splitters etc) then set default key again.

Ideally for the uk, you should be using the 8.00 & not the 7.09 as this is for Ireland.
Try this
Menu > 1570
Turn OFF Emu.
Exit to a TV channel, & wait till it says data being updated
Go back to the cas menu & set the default key first
Turn emu on
Exit back to channels & see if it updates.
