hi
can anybody give me bit of information on ps3. can the ps3 only be played on telly with hdmi connection or is there some connection that can be used to connect to another telly

it can be played on any tv with a scart input, composite input (red, white and yellow), component input (green, blue and red) d-terminal input or hdmi input.

thanks , will try that, we bought the console in vegas, when he tried it on an old tv it wouldnt work using the red yellow and white connections. only tv that we have with the hdmi connection is in the sitting room and that works ok. is there a setting that we have to change to use it when using scart lead?

You may have to hook it up to a componet Tv first to be able to see what you are setting.

Connect the ps3 to whatever tv you are using, put the ps3 in standby (red light) then hold down the power button until you hear 2 beeps and it will detect the optimal vdeo settings automatically.
