PS3 was dropped on pavement what could be broken

A friend of mine has a PS3, and someone dropped it on the pavement when it was being transported outside. Sony won't touch it, and I'm trying to fix it. When I attempted to turn on the ps3, I got the yellow light, and 3 beeps. I took it apart completely, and the only thing I see that's obviously damaged, besides the case, is the Blu ray drive. I have no idea if the HDD is damaged, since i have no way to test it. Could anyone tell me if any other components in a ps3 could be damaged easily by dropping it on pavement?

If you have a newish computer you can hook its sata cables up to the HDD and listen to see if it spins up. And as for the bluray drive I'd check to see if there are any cracked circuit boards chips etc.
