can someone tell me how to save movies,music,and other things such as pics and etc in my PS3 HDD? I know it is possible, i just don't know how, any help would be much appreciated. oh, is there also a way to store and add my music to the HDD so i can listen to my playlist while playing my other games? my main concern is storing movies on the HDD.please help anybody.thank you for taking the time to read this.please reply here or my email. i really need to get this going.Thanks again! you guys are a BIG help
If you have a Thumb drive, Using your PC, Put a Folder on it named PS3 . In that folder, put a folder named MUSIC another one named PICTURE and another one named VIDEO . Copy your music to the MUSIC folder and so on. Put the Thumb drive in the PS3. Go to music on the PS3. High Light the Thumb Drive Music and hit Triangle on the controler > Copy . Do the same for the other folders. If you have set the PS3 up as a Media Hub to your PC as a Media Server, Do the same thing. Triangle > Copy.
thumb drive as in a flash drive, or is it different? never heard of one? i thought of using a flash, i have a 2gb flash, so you say make folders such as video,music,pictures,etc, right? am i following you so far?
rite. Thumb, jump, flash. all the same. Thumb just refers to a flash with a USB connector. On the flash drive (you can use a flash card if you have the PS3 with the flash slots) Make a master folder called PS3, inside of that folder, Make a folder called MUSIC, another one called PICTURE, and another one called VIDEO. All of them have to be capitol letters. Put your PC info in the correct folders. Then put that Flash Card in the PS3. Go to Music on the PS3. They will show up. Highlite a song and press Triangle. A save option along with others will appear. Save it and do the same to the rest of everything you want.
