how do I select just the movie, and not the extra features when I get to the "full disk backup" window? I was able to leave out audio portions, but couldn't figure out how to exclude all the extras. Can anyone help, thanks!!!?

Click on the top where it says re-author, and just drag and drop what you want on the left where it says new dvd.
http://www.dvdshrink.info/guides.php A good guide to help you re-author.I hope that helps ya.
re-authoring disables your menu tho.
peace out

The menus will be gone, but that's no big deal. With 95% of my back-up'ed DVD, I didn't bother to keep the menus... that just takes up space needlessly.
You can also press the "start/end button" and cut out the intro and the ending credits. (Who watches credits anyway?) That way you can use as much space as possible for just the movie. Therefore, you won't have to compress it as much, and your video quality should be better.
This is really important for big movies.
For example, I just did "Scent of a Women." Even with just the primary audio track and cutting the intro and ending credits, DVDshrink had to compress it down to 62%.... That's probably the most compression I'd accept, before splitting a movie onto 2 DVD-R's.
Some movies are just too long... and you have to split them onto 2 DVD-R's... Lord of the Rings comes to mind.

Hi all. :)
Cutting-out the end-credits does save some space, but it also means the loss of the soundtrack (which very often brings the "mood" of the movie to its conclusion).
I personally prefer to use "Still Pictures" on the end-credits.
This normally brings down their size by 85% or so. ;)
