WOW.

If you're going to get angry at somebody maybe you should know urself. Actually, you can play burned PS2 games on a PS3.

Link here for the mod grkblood was talking about.

Its not an easy mod to do, and i wouldnt recommend trying it unless you're good with electronics...much easier just to pic up a modded PS2, seen them for around £20 in the ad-mag.

Especially when this is aD's #1 rule

1.) Touche about the swap switch. That lil' tidbit I forgot about.

2.) I wasn't angry. I was more than a bit exasperated. Two different things.

1.) Also touche. You DID ask a simple question.

2.) It was a question that could've been answered had you not "simply asked a question" and instead simply searched around a bit. Just sayin'.

...that said, you got your answer, so hopefully, you're satisfied.

...right, so here's a different question:

The common function between the PS2 and PS3 is backwards compatibility with the PSOne. We all know that the PS2 can be hacked and stuff to allow you to load PS2 backups off of the HDD.

That said, if one is using the EE-equipped PS3 models, wouldn't it be possible to... I dunno, trick the "PS2" part of the system? Or is there more to this whole hardware emulation thing that's just really complicated and stuff and that'll make it impossible to do such a thing?

But I'm just pulling stuff out of my butt at this point.
