Interference when PS3 is plugged in! Help??

I just purchased a new 160 GB PS3 and when I plug it into my Onkyo TX-RS705 receiver I get real bad interference over my Polk Audio speakers. I called Sony and they don't know why I am having problems. I have tried plugging the PS3 into an outlet on its own, separating it from the cable box, and plugging it directly into the TV bypassing the receiver all together. What is the point of owning a PS3 if there is bad interference over the speakers? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Rather odd, have you tried getting an extension cord and hooking the ps3 up to an outlet that's on a different breaker?

It could be your breakers don't have that high of a capacity and the ps3 is essentially the straw that breaks the camels back per say.
