was playing fifa 09 last night and my ps3 powered off it wont power back on,when i try to power on the power light flashes yellow then red my console is the 60gb version bought on the 23rd march o7 so the warrenty is long gone,what should i do guys is there a fix

Call Sony. You'll have to give them $150 along with your broken PS3 and they'll send you a re-furished 60GB. You are someone could try to see what the problem is if you are so incline, but once the warranty seal is broken Sony won't touch it even if you pay them.

i rang sony ireland they are replaceing it for me for free maybe sony operate different in the states

has anyone attempted to repair the ps3 with the yellow light themself cause i am having the same problem and tearing mine apart right now any suggestions on what it may be i know its not the power supply or the power switch (on off) or the usb ports i know its not the blu ray rom im gonna keep trying to replace stuff till i can find a fix the mother board is gonna be next i have a bunch of spare parts here from otherbroken systems any help would be appreciated

Its been done, but not often because you can't really be sure whats causing it until you open it up; and after that if it isn't something you can fix you're screwed.
