Hey folks, new to these forums, signed up hoping someone can help me out. I have a Livebox wireless router. Having problems connection the Ps3 to it. I've put in all the details im pretty sure are correct. each time i test connection. It fails at IP. It did pass the IP once, then i had a DNS problem. But since then, it keeps failing IP even though i haven't changed a setting. Thanks if anyone can help me out!

Hve you tried the automatic settings? the on where the PS3 will obtain the IP and DNS settings automatically?
Also, double check your Wireless access key is being input correctly.

Try running a wired connection to see if that works. It will help narrow down the possible problems.

Just go for wired connection.
My PS3 is upstairs in my room and my wireless router is downstairs, and weirdly, I get 85%-90% connection and I hardly lag at all.
But use wired connection. It's better.

I am the same. I cannot my PS3 to my Netgear wireless router.
The PS3 can find it (100 % signal) but when I get to the connection stage I get a message saying 'a connection to the access point could not be established. Check the security settings for wireless lan'
Does anyone know what to do?

ok here it is if u wana conect through wireless do this
on ur if ur wireless on ur pc has pass the on ps3 u need to search for ur wireless name and conect useing paswored
pc settings:go to control panle = Network Connections = Local Area Connection right click properties scroll down look for internet protocol tcp/ip click on that set the desired ip adress=192.168.1
submask=255.255.255.0 thats it restart pc setings done
now go to control panel network connections ur internet dial up example ( toucan broadband ) click on that advanced lick on allow other network
user to connect and press ok.
solved
all u have to do now is ether connect ethernet cable from router to ps3 or anything or or wiresless just find ur signal conect use pass and ur done
