my ps3's harddrive is messing up, for some reason i turn it on one day and up pops a screen that says ps3 hardrive is corrupted press x to fix. so i press it, wait 30 min and nothing, still on 0%.
I read you need to format the ps3's hardrive with your computer, i did to FAT32. popped it back into my ps3, ps3 formated it. and it still says PS3's Hardrive is corrupted.

Your friend is honest and thinks she plays AC2 on a PS3. In reality she is playing AC1 on a PS2.
You may have to completely wipe the drive first. You don't necessarily need to format it to fat32. Completely wiping the drive - everything gets set to zero - should fix it for the PS3 to format to whatever format it uses.

Quote:The trick here is no formatting at all. Just reset it to straight zeros, do not use any utility disc software because if it doesn't do it to ntfs it will put it to fat 32 or unix. Let the console do the work and you ought to be fine. Why its not working right now is your unit is now looking for an operating system due to the formatting in place.
Straight from there. Or at least as far as I got before I saw what I wanted. :P You might have better luck doing something else, but that's what I'm getting.
Have you tried using SwissKnife? That seems to be what some folks are suggesting.
