I got it for $40 at a different store. Will it work?

My Q6600 is jealous. As far as the PSU goes I wouldn't go with a cheap brand, you end up paying for it when it fails on you, blows your components, or starts your computer on fire. Seeing as how you already bought it the PSU will supply you with enough power, hopefully it lasts though.

The Antec Basiq units aren't the worst, but they are very poor to compared to other brands. One of my pet peeves is people who ignore my advice on Power supplies because they presume I'm overselling expensive units. Unfortunately several people with this attitude have already paid the price for it.

Sorry Sammi, forgive me. I just figure I had to get this one since this was all I had left of money to complete my PC.
I do appreciate your help though a lot.
I don't think I could of gone anywhere else and get precise info on putting a PC together.
Only thing left is if I should stay with the Manufacture CPU fan.

Not an excuse, and this is usually how it happens - best of intentions but 'I don't have anything left to get a decent PSU' - wrong approach, the PSU should be the first consideration. If you can't afford a good enough PSU to run a system, then cut back on the other parts. In any case, you can do worse than the Antec Basiq series, but their long term reliability is questionable, so you should be fine for now, but when you can afford to upgrade it, you should do so.
The stock CPU cooler will be fine unless you plan to overclock the system.

for now I don't plan on overclocking....maybe later when I plan on upgrading like you said. Looking for a good fan/heatsink to keep it cool.

Either a Freezer 7 Pro (currently out of stock at newegg) or a Noctua cooler with a 92mm fan installed.

I looked at my budger and found that maybe I could afford a $40 ram.
Does this match to my Mobo?
