ok, i know a ps3 can support up to 7 wireless controllers, but is there even a game that can support more then 4 players?, bc if there isnt i dont see a point for buying more.
i dont know the answer to your question but actually it isnt 7 controllers, is more like 7 BT devices.
e.x.
1-Controller
2-Controller
3-Keybord
4-mouse
5-Blu-Ray remote controll(so stupid)
6-Headset
7-I cant think any other BT PS3 compatible device
There's only a few, and those are almost exclusively sports games - y'know, Madden, NHL, etc.
I think it's also supposed to only be able to support 7 BLUETOOTH DEVICES, not specifically controllers, which, if you're using a controller and a Bluetooth headset, automatically limits the amount of devices you can have hooked up.
I could be wrong, though. I always thought it was 7 controllers, too, but seeing as how they're Bluetooth controllers... I just sorta made the assumption.
Not if they did it sorta like CoD5 Wii-style, where one person (or maybe two or three, in this case) moves and the other sort of... tags along.
But ONE thing that gets me is the whole split-screen deal and how most games are handling it.
I mean, my god. CoD5 - the screens are just shrunk down to fit two on the screen. Same with Halo 3. Same with RE5. It's so annoying to see those black borders all the time... and often in such horrendous arrangements, too.
Anyway.
Imagine a light-gun game that supported 7 people at once... man, that'd be pretty delicious. Or a Ninja Turtles/Marvel Ultimate Alliance/Gauntlet sorta deal. That'd be... interesting, at the very least.
