One last question
which program's results do I trust, Schtrom or ABGX? I just went to do a check on an older game, Too Human. It failed with Schtrom and it passed with ABGX. The same thing with Bourne Conspiracy, although, ABGX patched Bourne and then it passed their test and still failed with Schtrom.

Hold up?!?
So what your saying is 1.51 is well... 1.41... Because its not got stealth and just a few bug fixes... And 1.6 at should be stealth like 1.4, 1.5... 1.6? Will not be, it will just have 0800 mode for ripping. So... Ill have to wait a bit more for a.. 1.61 that has stealth aswell? I know my games are stealthed but what if there is a bad burn? + Tutorial for jungleflasher and benq anyone :D

I must admit for being my first try flashing a xbox360 this was a piece of cake, after the scare i was so happy to see the thing running and playing HAWX, so thanks every one for the good help and thanks to the developers for such good thing as Ixtreme!

An unflashed Lite-ON drive still requires a Lite-ON key reader. Only drives flashed with ix1.5 are able to pull the dummy.bin info from the drive via sata through JF.

As far as I understood it's just a little less stealth, still scans for ss files and so on, just doesn't do a crc check on the video files anymore.
After spending the better part of yesterday trying to flash my benq with jungleflasher and taking everything not needed out of my PC because jf simply didn't recognize my VIA card I created the firmware with the old firmtool that came with iXtreme 1.4 and flashed with Dosflash32. Took me like 5 minutes and works like charm.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

If you load the games with abgx it still checks the CRC, and I don't think it's 'less stealth'. I've been playing the new games just fine, no problems whatsoever.

Yes, abgx does, iXtreme doesn't anymore. So iXtreme is less stealth than before, 1.5 and beneath did a crc check on the video partition and if that crc number didn't match one of wave 1 or 2 it didn't load the game. That's what caused the problem with wave 3 in the first place.

Why does they have made the process of getting JungleFlasher and iXtreame so complicated? I installed mIRC and went to the channel got the User name, password for xbins and logged on to their FTP... Whenever I try to download the new FW I get a Access Denied message and have to redo all the process again from the IRC to get another temp login. I tried more than 5 times... still no luck... I got fedup and gaveup :)
By the way it is against their policy to make available the FW anywhere other than xbin FTP?

Page 11 has the links to the firmware and Jungle Flasher.
You could also google auto xbins and try using that to get on Xbins. It makes it allot easier.

hey i have a couple questions, I have a benq with 1.4 and when 1.6 comes on i want to reflash my drive, but im paranoid to do it becuase i already f-ed one benq drive. i bought another xbox with the new liteon, i have no idea how to do the flash. i bought a sata raid controller to do the mod but alot of the information ive read and you need a key extracter, when i did my benq drive all i had to do was type in some commands and it was done. is there anything similar to that? also if I already have 1.4 on my benq drive do i need any of the orginal information that i dumped off my benq drive? HELP!

Eisherz, Thanks a lot mate i was thinking about that way, its been the one i use all the time for samsungs and benqs so if i just merge with firmtool my 1.5 hacked firmware with my key and the 1.51 hack firmware then flash it in dosflash all shall be ok? guess i will try it later this week. Thanks for the help.
P.S The new abgx that came out... does it now crc check agianst 3rd wave aswell? thanks in adv

Just updated a liteon, and also flashed a hitachi 79. Everything went really well. Didn't have any problems on my end. Easiest way to do this.... read the tut!

I want to update my 1.4 hitachi 79 to 1.51. Anyone have a good tutorial on how to do it? Do I need to revert back to the original firmware that was support to be on my drive or I could just update 1.4 to 1.51.
