MS only queries the drive with challenges for the game you have in the drive. So as of right now, no, this won't be a problem.

wassup peeps

If I rip a game that is 3rd wave, is there anything extra that I have to do with it with ABGX to be "safe" from a ban to play with 1.51 or 1.6 when it is released?

I use XBC to rip and ImgBurn to burn all my rips. Then I check with Schtrom and ABGX.

Can I just rip and burn like any other 2nd wave game, or should I set to level 3 to autofix? And, if I do set to lvl 3 to autofix with patch will I be banned/flagged for having a patched game?

Thanx in advance for any un-sarcastic response. And yes, before you rspond with "read the threads", I have been here from the start of it and have been going through all of them.

If you are using a Kreon drive or a 360 drive with 0800 you dont need to check for stealth as those drives copy the whole game including the Stealth files. Unlike wxripper method which does not.

So if you want to check them you can but it isnt required.

If you send me questions on Live about modding or anything related i will block you. Dont be an idiot.

Newest Toolbox is 4.8, and yes, you can use it instead of JF.

Make sure you use JF to spoof your original firmware to the ix1.51 firmware. If you open up ix1.51 and paste in your key, your firmware will be missing serial data. MS doesn't check for that but if they change up their methods, it will throw a red flag.

I thought serial data only applied to liteon drives not hitachi

Just looking over my other post and I forgot some info. When using Firmware Toolbox, if you load ix1.51 and just paste in your key, you will be missing serial data. I've loaded all my different types of firmware from different customers and the only firmware I've found that doesn't contain serial data is the Samsung. All other firmware have some info in the serial tab.

If you used JF to spoof your original firmware to iXtreme, and then use Firmware Toolbox to flash, I believe you should be allright. If you have any original firmware, load them in JF and check out the serial tab. Copy your key and then open up Firmware Toolbox and load a fresh copy of iXtreme. Paste your key and save. Open JF and then load the iXtreme file and check the serial tab.

To test, open up original firmware in JF, spoof to ix 1.51 and then check serial data.

I believe all methods to read firmware will get this serial data. I used iprep 6 when I first started flashing. Just checked those original files and they contain serial data.

I've asked Caster and he confirmed the issue with firmware toolbox and serial data. The only way you can get incomplete serial data is to open a fresh copy of iXtreme in Firmware Toolbox, and paste your key in. I think Caster's firmtool was used in iprep and the bootdisc and it will go ahead and copy serial data so everything should be fine there.

sweet. I was thinking just a second ago if it was known that serial data was in drives prior to liteons then why was it ever missed to begin with. but oh well it has since been solved.
i nearly crapped a brick thinking all the drives i flashed previously were missing info, good to know that isnt the case.

So I read through all 19 pages to make sure this question was not here. Someone mentioned it and said they would try and see what happens, but never followed up. I have read the Jungle Flasher tutorial and all also.

My problem is that I have a Hitachi drive with either iextreme 1.40 or 1.41 on it, haven't opened back up yet to find out, and I do not have the orig.bin files since I purchased this system from someone over a year ago. Jungle Flasher says to put the FW back to stock before flashing 1.51 onto the Hitachi drive, but is there a way to go from iextreme 1.40 or 1.41 to 1.51 without putting the drive back to stock?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

P.S. It took me about an hour to read through everything and I must say patience is not a virtue for many people and really should be. I would bet there is nearly 4 pages worth of "is 1.60 out yet?" type posts on this thread. That is about 5 pages too many. Take an hour out of your time and READ, or just don't assume you are the first to think up the question unless you know you aren't or if the question wasn't answered yet.

You don't need orig.bin to restore.
JF will take the generic stock firmware and insert your key and "restore" your hitachi drive.
Make sure you have all the firmwares inside the firmware folder in the jf program folder too.

XBOX Halo Ed. = DuoX2 w/250gb HD
Xbox 360 Red Elite 120GB HDD = no-stealth 1.6 & XBReboot V3 & 1TB usb hdd
PS2 Slim = freemcboot v1.8 - PSP Black Slim = 5.00m33-6
Wii = w/ Blue XCM ii-case, Wiikey2 & softmodded

well i just finished up with JF 1.55 and the 1.51 iXtreme...

i made the CFW using JF and then used dosflash and a usb bootable..

really the hardest part was correcting the drive serial information from my dummy.bin ... i guess the quality control people "check off" the little stick labels cause they had put a line with a marker on one of my stickers...

this made it extremely difficult to get the characters exactly right... i spent about 20 minutes under various lighting at all kinds of angles trying to get it...

anyways the flash went fine and my xbox 360 is up and running and playing games

i did a Hitachi 78 lastnight dumped and flashed with JF no probs
but that was from stock not preflashed.

also JF has a built in safety that will not allow you to flash over an old ixtreme such as 1.4 it will check and force to restore first.

Yeah I noticed that when I was reading the tut before doing a friends Hitachi. I had to exchange his original drive with a different Hitachi drive because the original wasn't reading games correctly or not at all. I just wasn't sure if it would make up a new orig file if there is not one or if you had to have the orig.bin file. I will just have to try it out and see how it goes.

Also has anyone else had a problem with Jungle Flasher 1.55b not fully opening your desktop? It opens and all, but the right side and the bottom don't open all the way. When I was reading through the tut it has a full pic.

Here is how JF 1.55b is supposed to look

and here is how mine looks

Anyone else have JF open this way or know a way to fix this?
Oh I have Windows XP for my OS by the way.

As long as you have the firmware files in the firmware folder for JF it will work. they dont come with JF tho so you will need to download separate (i got from xbins) and extract the .bin files to the formware folder in JF.

I had the same problem with JF not displaying the whole window. Check your DPI settings in the display properties advanced settings. Right click desktop properties then go to display tab then click advanced then check the DPI settings. If they are not set to normal it will cause this to happen to some apps. I have mostly seen it on homebrew type stuff like keygens and stuff.

Yeah I am an idiot. I had my DPI set at 120 because I have my computer hooked up to my TV so I needed the setting higher. Totally forgot I did that. Thanks again for all the help here. You guys rock, Team Jungle rocks, and all that do what needs to be done rocks.
