PS3 playing blu-ray but wont play games.....

i turned my ps3 on after having played MK vs. DC an few hours before and it wont load/ play games anymore but the blu ray seems to play movies fine..what can i do. the systems will only be a yr old in july, but i dont have the receipt..didnt think to keep it and sony wants 150+ to fix it..help

if it was paid with a credit card, you could get a statement showing that it was bought at so so date...
