New PS3 Problem Disc drive not loading, blown fuse?

Ok heres the deal.

Buddy of mine wants me to take a look at his system. I normally do repairs on occasion, but I've never come across this particular problem before.

Here's whats happened.

He tell me he swapped out the lens and put everything back together but he grounded the following wires by accident.
The 4 wires that connect to the drive on the side.
Colors are 3 gray and 1 black, he grounded 1 of the gray wires and the black to the system, by way of screwing it down.
Don't ask me how he did it.

Anyways there was a pop like sound.

PS3
Still loads up fine
All functions work
Will not take in discs though, blue light will just blink.

As a reference
Gears are not messed up
Light sensor not messed up
Even tried a working drive and it still did not accept discs.
Thought the original was faulty tried it on a working system and it took discs fine.

My conclusion is that it must of burnt out a fuse somewhere on the mobo, but where and where are the fuses on the mobo.
Theres no pictures or diagrams of whats what on the mobo yet.
