Silent Hill Homecomming PAL German Version is wave 3 too. Was released today, so really took the BPjM (Federal Department for Media Harmful to Young Persons) some time to cut it.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

you mean 1.51? every firmware before 1.51 can play any games NOT listed in this thread, firmware iExtreme 1.51 can pay any 360 game out on the market currently.

Naw... not so. Before iXtreme there was Xtreme. The older Xtreme firmware which doesn't check the video.iso will run all these games.

Yep, there was even Xtreme firmware which would let you play games burnt on to single layer dvd's. That was back before security had to be tightened up.

Could someone be kind enough to tell me if Monsters vs Aliens is Wave 2 or Wave 3 as I have firmware 1.5 and would like to play it online with my son.

The Single Layer disc support was for Xbox 1 games, not Xbox 360s.
If your console isn't flashed yet I would wait for iXtreme 1.6 to be released in about 2 weeks and flash it with that firmware. If you have a lite-on drive (which I assume if your console is new) there is no Xtreme firmware for your drive, you have to go with iXtreme.

OK, everyone. All games from now on are going to be wave 3. Is this thread really going to just be updated ANY time a new game is released?
How about we all just understand that all new games are wave 3, and then that's it?

there's no need to have iextreme installed if you're not going online. Just downgrade to an old extreme firmware.

If they knew how to flash or would dare flashing they wouldn't need that patch in the first place. Also no extreme firmware for lite-on drives. But I wouldn't suggest using the patch because all these patched games can be thrown away if you ever plan on going on live.

Here's something weird.
My modded xbox is not 1.5 ixtreme firmware, but my 'copy' WANTED game came with the new NXE update
And it can play WANTED, but still cannot do the ones on the list.
WHAT'S UP WITH THAT????????
BTW the game still keeps asking for the update even I already did...
AGAIN WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?????

Apologies for bumping an old thread, but I'm at a loss here.
Here's the situation
TS-H943 drive in 2006MY Xbox (PAL, UK)
iXtreme 1.51 firmware successfully installed [iPrep]
Console does not play Third wave titles (acts as if it had old iXtreme firmware - Xbox 360 logo on white screen appears and game shows up as Video DVD)
Console does not accept ANY form of patched iso. Using Mulleter the screen 'Play this disc in an Xbox 360 console' appears. Using the PPF-O-Matic fix, the game appears as 'Play DVD' and is marked 'disc unreadable'
Console has been updated to NXE, and does not accept the update again (USB stick has no effect, CD version of the update is marked as Mixed Media Disc)
Is there any way of actually playing backed up Third Wave games on a console like this?
