hey guys i apolagise if this was disscused before i looked throuh the other posts but could'nt find anything. Anyway the problem is a strange one my ps3 is not reading my ps3 games when i put a game in it loads alrite the drive spins but nothing,it does'nt even show up under game in the XMB,Nw all other disc formats work CDDVD PS1 & PS2 games Except my ps3 games. it was working fine up to last night. i even splashed out 120e on 2 games today. is this a simple fix or will it cost me money i cant afford? Any help will be greatly appriciated.
i left it alone all last nite decided to give another go 2day, it works on & off it takes about 6-7 go's of popping in & out the disc, as i sed the drive spins as normal but not rading it so maybe it's just the lens needs cleaning & maybe the drive is ok. (i just dont no) if the drive is F***ed how difficul is it to replace? cos im not sending it bak to sony.To say i only have it 13mths & this happins is a joke i still have my ps1 & ps2 & both still work flawlessy. ¦ ( Tnx 4 the help!
Yeah i think yer right lads. I even rang my local gamestore & he said the same thing he even gave me sony's No. He also heard stories that sony fixed machines that were older than mine free of charge with the same problem . I'll be ringing them tomorrow, i'll let ye know what they say & I Wont be nice about it either. Once again tnx 4 the help!!! ¦ )
