I have some ps1 savegames in .mcs .mc and .psx format. Is there any way I can unpack or convert them to be recognized by the ps3? I've been googling all morning and can't find much info.
Well, there IS a way, but in order to do that, you need a) a PS1 memory card, b) a PS1/2 Memory Card Adapter for the PS3, and c) a little bit of technical know-how.
I've been meaning to write a tutorial about how to get PS1 gamesaves onto your PS3 if all you have is the memory card adapter, but I've been lazy on that front. Let me know if you've got the right equipment, and I'll consider writing it.
EDIT:
Actually, you can also convert them if you've got a PS2, a Gameshark/Action Replay, and one of the memory card utilities that come with them.
Or you can ask one of the members here to convert them. I don't want to just throw his name around (try an' save him some time), but ooZEROoo might be able to help you out. PM him and ask.

Thanks. I'll try ooZEROoo and if that doesn't work, I will get the adapter off ebay and then contact you. I started out with a .GME save from GameFaqs, and the only formats I could convert that to was .mc, .mcd, .ddf, .vgs, .mcf, or .psx. And I can't find any way of converting any of those to .psv.
