Ok this is what happened. Ive had the PS3 for a year and half and its been keeping me going in terms of games, so this is w here the problem starts. I play Tekken 5 dark ressurection, then i decide to get the 2.70 update... so thts what i did, i downloaded it from my PC transfered it to my PS3, ( as i always do when i update ) then i installed the update onto the hard drive, and let it install... so i leave it... i come back and its still on 50% after an hour and it ses " the last updating operating was cancelled " and no 1 but me touches my PS3... so i switched if off, and back on and let it try agen as it usually does, and still the same error, so i used my PC, formatted the hard drive, brought it back the the PS3, used the recovery menu, restored the file system and rebuilt the data base... ( oh im on FW 2.53 atm ) so what i did was everything got restored, all my saves went :( so i decided to install a different firmware, 2.60... same process as applies when updating, ... same error... So i decide to go back and format my HDD on the computer, ( same file system as before ... FAT32 ) i get back... and, try go to the Recovery menu nothing, just a black screen, i tried it over and over and over, nothing, i think i messed up the flash somehow, ... anything help ?.
