what they prob mean is that you shouldn't "patch" a wave 3 game to make it compatible with earlier firmwares...

all games should be run through ABGX autofix level 3 no matter what

You should scan all games with abgx, no mather where you got them. You can always produce a bad rip by yourself, for example if you use an external kreon drive or with the hotswap method.
Better waste like 3 minutes by scanning the game than a Verbatim by an undetected bad rip that doesn't boot up.

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Right. I know what you're saying, but

1. the post ix14 firmware covers any bad angle errors
2. running the autofix will patch over all your security data (which you know is legit because you have the actual disc in your hand) with something from their database

If someone wants to check for a bad angle error, then autofix should be off. Then if there's a problem a manual fix could be applied.

But see, a lot of the people making their own rips don't know that. They read everyone saying to use abgx360 to verify before burning. So they do that, unknownly changing their legitimate copy to some scene release.

So it's just easier to tell them to not use abgx when they make their own rips instead of going in to a long, drawn out explaination as to what they need to do if they do use it. Like I said, the bad angle is already covered.

Think of the (bigger) mess this forum would be if we started telling everyone who makes their own rips to use abgx but to turn off the autofix. There would be post after post of people asking "why is xxx yellow" or "why is xxx unverified" and "ok, now what do I do to fix it". It'd just go on and on.

If you downloaded the games, do a normal check with abgx, if you created them yourself don't check them.
You are thinking about two totally different things here when talking about stealthpatching the games with abgx and rebuilding the iso so it works on firmwares lower than 1.51 with Mulleter. You don't even use the same software for both.

i have a similar question. Ive hotswapped FIFA 10 and dummied the video partition as it had an error come up when i ripped it. i assume that is the cause of my problems.

i notice that "Size: 7572881408 bytes (normal size)" in another persons rip says 'splitvid, wave3' something along those lines.

is there a way i can fix it now? is there a video partition i can download for it and chuck in my stealth files folder like others have with 'HAWX'? should i re-rip the iso in a different manner. ive stealthed plenty of games before, this is my first encounter with a wave 3 game though. game is definitely on db, all my settings boxes are checked according to the PDF manual.

Enable the online functions and then run it through abgx360 again. If you don't have the wave 3 video file, download it here: -

http://www.abgx360.net/download.html

Then place it here if you're running Windows: -

C:\Program Files\abgx360\StealthFiles

If the only problem is the missing stealth and video files, then abgx360 should be able to fix it.
