Hi everyone i hope someone can help me i have had this problem for months now n cant figure it out. My ps3 stop reading blu ray so i took it apart because i have no more warrenty left and cleaned the lens and it worked for a bit untill it just stopped working. Now i took it a part again and this is what i get, when i put in a bluray the lens will shine a purplish blue and spins then stops. Is it because the lens just isnt strong enough anymore or is it something else.

Hey leeve, what does your tv screen show when the drive stops spinning? is there an icon in the top right hand corner?
Sidenote: you may want to edit your post because it contains an email address and soon enough someone will come and remove it for you.

Try this: go into a demo and then try to go into the bluray game from there. This has worked for some people for some reason.

I have tried all of the tricks and it seems to me the disk doesnt spin fast enough when it tries to read bluray and then the lens turns red as if its tring to read a cd and doesnt load.If i try to play a normal cd it works no problem.

It seems like your lens needs to be re-aligned. The problem with that though is it's quite difficult to do. I would suggest cutting your losses.
