Programming PS3 Inputs from Computer...

This is a weird request...
USB cable from my computer, do the controller ports on my PS3 . Then I want to run a program on my computer so that I can send controller functions to the PS3. Basically I want to program a sequence of buttons on my computer, and have them activated on the PS3. Would something like this be possible?

Sounds possible, but it would require a lot of custom programming.

What kind of custom programming? I'm a PERL/PHP programmer, so if someone could help me get this started, I could probably figure it out in time.

Search on haxnetwork.net. A while ago someone there posted a tutorial on how to use a regular keyboard and mouse on PS3 FPS games.

I'm not looking to use a keyboard and mouse on my PS3 ... I'm looking to use my computer to program controller macros.
