It's never really been right. I find I end up playing with the TV rather than the box and that way I can get it looking okay. Bit annoying.

It's never really been right. I find I end up playing with the TV rather than the box and that way I can get it looking okay. Bit annoying.
try the output settings
try it in cvbs then rgb then pal&ntsc some work better with different tv's, eg:cvbs on pal, cvbs on ntsc, then try ntsc on cvbs ntsc on pal try it while watching a football match and you will see which 1 is best output for your tv hope that helps.

Don't those settings alter the colour/appearance rather than the aspect ratio?

yes on appearance, a little bit on colour ps: on another post you were talking about the box usb recording does yours mine does i sent youi a reply to it get back to me about it

all i can say to you is 
and yes to your harddrive just press record on your remote you might b asked to format it, if it says that save anything you have important to your computer
then format it on your box if it asks, if it does not record get back to me and ill help.
ps:what was it that was wrong with your box or what did you do this time that you ware'nt all the other times

I never got round to putting v110 on
But got fed up of the box freezing when on standby so, updated on Saturday
Did the usual stuff and the box with new firmware was up and running within 10mins

Thats the idea of them releasing new files, to fix the bugs, if you dont use it whats the point in them releasing the software.

When did I say I never use it?!
I was quite happy just to turn the box off and back on and all the channels were available
I've always held off putting the latest firmware on boxes. If my box is working pretty much okay and I receive all the channels then should I really be jumping to install the latest s/w

There is always a reason behind a firmware release,to get optimum performance from anything, you need to update it, your box is just one of them things, they could be aware of something that you would not normally be aware of. And i never said you said you never used it, what i am saying is people see new releases and wait until there box goes off, or there is something wrong with it and wonder why, that is the reason why the updates are done most of the time, to prevent things.

i pressed the red button to rec it said "recording int" then a timer display in the corner...but the picture freezes.
regarding to the updating firmware----the only difference i did was delete all channels before the update and it works.....

Hi Mick is it just the BIN file needed now?
The last time I flashed the box it needed both the BIN and logo file. From what I can work out it's just the one file now. Don't want to brick the box.

ok, i must be thick. i bought myself one of these boxes and it arrived today. i have to admit im USUALLY good at this techie kind of stuff, and it seems simple. BUT its not working for me at all. im following the instructions, when i do the automatic scan its not finding any stations for me. any ideas after that? is it possible i bought a dud box?

Hi all, sorry to be an annoyance! I orderd a box a while ago and got the latest software to upgrade it, however I since got skanked with that box and it never came! I have got that sorted, got money back and finally today I got a new "the box super usb 4". The thing is Im worried that there has been a new flash since! Was wondering can someone please send me a pm with the latest software and a step by step guide to update my box! After all the hassel ive been thru trying to get this box, I really dont want to risk messin it up! Thanks in advance!
