Buy a 360 with the Jasper chipset, it is the most advanced chip and is unlikely to get RRoD. The elite console is the latest console, but all new xbox 360's come with jasper chipset (pro, elite, arcade)

Do you mean 'Can i play homebrew games on my xbox 360'? If it's stock firmware then no. You need to flash your console with ixtreme 1.6 if you want to play burnt games.

Btw I know you're new but you need to write proper, full sentences. Nobody is going to help you if they can't understand you. Also, use the search button before posting, forum members get really annoyed when the same questions are asked repeatedly (a thread like this usually comes up atleast weekly)

I wouldn't consider playing burnt games as homebrew. homebrew is running unsigned code. I think the only thing that you could ever do was run linux but that was a while back and you cant do it anymore on new 360's. If you mean homebrew like emulators and stuff like that then no.

From what I have read, homebrew is in the works on a boot disc. You need to flash your drive to play backups, no other way currently.

If you want to play backups, you have to burn them to a DL DVD. Retail games are $60.00 which is a cost of a pack of 50 DVD's or close.
