you might allready know of the the new ps3 controlor which uses a ball and the eye to capture motion. The tech is 1 to 1 of real and virtual motion. Why cant ps3 come out with a simmilar idea. I was thinking along the way of how motion sensing is captured while making sport games IN WHICH VARIOUS DOTS ARE CAPTURED. What it there was a glove with these dots and the eye toy picked those dots up just liek the new ps3 eye controlor with the ball at the end. Think of all the possibalities it would open. No more would you have to press bottons or carry fake remotes. Image you are playing a first person shoter or a fighting game, and in the game you are allowed to grab, pick, shoot, throw, run, hit, ....etc. The idea seems limitless in gaming. Would this be a good idea?
Ofcourse there are limitless ideas, but then there are also legal issues (basically everything is patented) and thats generally the limiting factor... so unless the company came out with the patent first or bought the patent (very unlikely unless they want to spend possibly billions), they simply arnt going to go for what actually works best and only go for what will work given what they can use
