PS3 VidZone now available

Sony has announced that the on-demand video service VidZone is now available for free for European PlayStation 3 owners.
VidZone currently runs the service from their own independent website, and is has deals with Sony BMG, EMI and over four thousand independent labels. Sorry if that was unclear, it is available for download via the PlayStation Store. I have edited out the confusing parts (yes they were confusing, sorry haha)

Oh i love this new service!!
i think its pretty kick ass in terms of what your getting from it, and its only been out ONE day but has like 25,000 videos ! holy shizzle, i couldn't have asked for more ! =D
As a matter of fact, i just turned off my ps3 and now came to afterdawn after a whole 3 hours on Vidzone !
The service rocks, videos load really fast, and pretty decent interface (however there is room for improvement)

Apparently you can't use VidZone using a UK account on an America PS3? Or am I wrong?

Hi xblade132, I can happily confirm you can use Vidzone on a US PS3 with a UK account in the UK. It works for me!
I have to say the service is pretty good, only needs some tweeking with searching videos. For free, its very good!

The search function has to be improved. Why can't they just use the normal typing interface for the PS3?
And load times is shocking. 5 minutes at the least.
I accidentally clicked an ad and it lead me to the PS Store so I quit the PS Store and it automatically reconnected me to Vidzone but I had to wait another 5 minutes.
But it's just been released so I'll give it some time.

Weird. It didn't work for me. I suppose I'll try it again later today.
I believe it only works on HD tvs in the US. I tried it and got an error message saying that my display settings are not correct.

the ps3 is not the problem you must be in a country yhat has vidzone not a fake account and u live in the us. it will not work like that.

vidzone will not work with a fake uk account. you must live in those countries that offer it. that means if u live in the us it will not work. the ps3 can be bought anywhere. but the account hold cant live in the us not offered to the us as yet.
