I tried backing up "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" With the latest DVD Shrink and got the same message. I then used DVD Decrypter and still got the same error when running the files through Shrink. It would happen right after the initial analysis started. I then switched back to Shrink V2.3 and everything worked fine. Sometimes these old programs come in handy.

Howdy guys! My first entry... 'fraid I've just been lurking for awhile. There is some really great info on these threads! Helped me out totally. Many people seem to be greatly concerned about adequate resources, etc. I'm running an old 266 sony vaio with the ram maxed our, an 80 gig western digital and a mad dog dominator 6-1 burner. I was using dvd xpress with the upgrade that gave me the full disk option. Now that I've been using DVD Shrink 317 beta for the past few weeks, I appreciate the ability to remove the limits placed on me be the dvd controls. So far I think I've backed up about 150 disks with onle 2 coasters!! (YAY!!) I just really...REALLY wish that when I re-authored a dvd that I could keep the menu functionality of the original... I like the menu's so much that it makes me sacrifice the resolution when auto compressing to keep it in there. Anyone know a different way??
(Great job there scuba!)

I also have had problems with TCM 2003. I would compress at level 10 and it was supposed to shrink to around 3.9 gigs, but during the compression process, it would suddenly switch to "no compression" and the resulting file size would be too large. Guess I'll have to reauthor and just burn the movie.

I DID IT!!!!!!!! I copied TCM!!! Had a ton of problems, read post about IFO editor and changing drive positions. I'm using a Pioneer 107D-love the drive, TCM and DVD Shrink were not agreeing on this! I finally figured it out, i did turn off the preview, that fixed the error with the "memory" problem, I'd get a seperate error when trying to "backup" the movie. Something about Paremeters or wierd stuff. I like quality, so if I'm like all you other guys you cut out the extra stuff for space. If trying to copy just the main movie it would leave out VOB 4. So I finally opted for the whole movie, that did it. Still got a few errors from Nero 6 prior to burn, but burned it and it plays fine. Not sure if this helps....but worked for me.
Piodata DVD-R
Pioneer 107D
Nero 6, DVD Shrink 3.17 and DVD Decry.

Flyina172,

Although double posting is against forum policy, this policy was set to curtail multiple questions being posted NOT a sucessful fix that was needed by many.
In this case Flyina172, thank you for your input, A/D members needed another additional fix to help with this "stickie" DVD.
