Ok first of put the usb device in your pc and format it to fat32
when you have that done download the firmware from the link below here
Firmware Here
copy and then paste the file on to the usb stick
then put the usb stick in the box when it is SWITCHED OFF !!!
then follow the information further back up the page on what to do then

if it was a clone and you had v1.10 or beta and then put v1.12 all are clone killers,you need to make sure there is no heatsink under vents as it will die,all the info has been said many times and reading is a good start.

Hi all,
Reagrding firmware on cable boxes.
I have the The Box- Starview 4 usb super PVR.
Please can you direct me to the site where I can get the latest firmware so I can get all the channels?
I am in London.
I see some comments and they say--- 1.07 or 1.12..
Please advise
Do you just , put the BIN file on the USB and select it when u boot the box.
Is there any instructions?

Each channel just froze so I moved to the next channel and after 10mins on each channel they froze and went to a blank black screen. Has anyone else had this problem today? Anyone got any ideas what to do? I live in Dublin area and the box is not a clone.

Yeah looks like the end of the box alright they have switched to the 1802 stream of encryption which means its nagra 3.

Yeah same problem here in Bray area :(
Fingers crossed a fix wil come up but highly doubt it .

Doubtful for a fix if its Nag3, but is it defo Nag3?? Anyone know for sure that its not a Nag2 scramble???

@OP When you say that if you don't your box might get fried. What exactly happens?
I have a box that is dead. When I take the back off and with the front of the box facing my chest, there is a chip on the bottom right that looks slightly firied with two tiny pins no longer connected?
Is this the result of the bad firmware or something else?
Not looking for a fix btw :) Just curious!

i was told a few weeks ago ,that it was going to go as soon as the football started,i was also told that it was going to be to expensive to change to nag 3 ,maybe it is just a scramble,fingers crossed

before i bought the box i asked on phone what the story was with nag3 was told that it would,nt happen here in ireland as there was to much boxes and wiring to be done in eire just goes to show a sales man will say anything
