it is working but first check for a heat sink under vents as it is a clone killer. heat sink = clone.

Im in Sth Dublin on n*l and am missing a few more channels than listed on previous page. Eg. BBC News, Sky News, Film 4(but no FF+1)- kinda weird!
Anyone any ideas?- tried factory reset and rescan...

yep try a rescan with no splitters on your cable.

Have no splitters- tried rescanning. The channels are there- they're just blank like sports, movies, etc.
Anyone got ideas??

I'm having trouble getting the USB to work, mine plugged in just brings up a message asking to reconnect USB. When I put my other one in the pages just freeze. The 1.12 is on the stick any help.

Turn the box off at the mains before inserting or removing anything from the USB slot.

try a different usb stick and leave it in the back of your box before you press the menu button on the remote, if it still says not connected press ok on the usb a couple of times!

He probably won't be an addict either it takes really long, stop commenting on peoples member status newbie doesn't mean dumb. Just help them with their problem or say "There's nothing we can do about nagra 3 except wait." not haha he's new thats nothing to do with dvb.

For now anyway! Any truth in te rumour we'll be back on by November?

hi guys any help would be greatly appreciated.A friend of my got a starview 4 usb i try to flash it for him i put my usb stick with correct firmware only on it and powered it up got the logo box and then 8882 and got to language page and 4 dashes on display but remote wont work the on the box to go to the next level.The remote is defintely working ok.Tried it on my box and its ok.Anyone had this problem and solved it?

Box needs to be jtaged to get it out of the 8882 if its stuck on that
search google for 8882 error message you will find the information

cheers e45 for the reply but i dont know if this makes any difference it only showing 4 ---- but on up it goes 8882 then ---- and then the remote wont work.Do you think it still needs to be jtagged or is there ny other way round it. thanks again.

Sorry E45 for not replying sooner away all day.This the problem i was about to put the firmware on it.I had only plugged it into the socket and this is what i am getting,on boot up i get THE BOX logo the on display 8882 then on display ---- and on the tv screen it hangs on the language page with nothing happening from the remote and the remote is definately working ok.

so you did not put firmware on your box, did you buy it of someone private, or retail shop? as if you or nobody else put any firmware on it, you should be able to get a refund or replacement if the box is faulty!
