ok so i have a wii that i mod maybe a year ago, since i've dont the mod i maybe use the system 7 times, its been setting plugged in but in standby mode,. today i burn muramasa put it in the wii and nothing, so i put the org game in, still nothing, its not reading anything. so should i open it up press on the chip to sure its setting ok or was it the newer burned game that did something or bad laser?
thanks
i get the menu and everything else works fine, am not getting any errors.
What type of mod do you have on it? Hard or soft? Have you tried the wii disc cleaner? I am in the midst of trying to solve the same issue my friends Wii has, his is hard modded, not with a wiikey but a soldered on chip.
thanks for the reply but i got a work around, after unplugging the wii and laying down it worked, i saw a post on here about usb drive, so i did some searching and read and more reading now am up and running from the hard drive, i used the 002 fix..
i saw a few post with people not getting it to work but my system was 4.1u and i got it running..
Slightly off topic but don't wanna start a new thread for it, so my friends wii got disassembled and cleaned fully, (man it was gross inside) and ran the disc cleaner thru it but with no luck yet. I'm just going to replace the drive in it I think then soft mod it for him. Does it matter what drive I purchase for it? I have seen a few different options on ebay, any suggestions?

Next time you should start a new thread. But since the OP has fixed the issue I will answer you this time rather then reporting your post.
The drives are universal. They will work in all systems.
