I have tried burning on my laptop with a TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L632D Drive and also my desktop computer with a Plextor PX-716A firmware 1.11
Ive tried burning 4 times with imgburn and once with Xbox backup creator
and each time ive checked the iso with abgx 1.01 and use the .dvd it makes and ive also tried setting the layer break in imgburn manually
burning at 2.4
So far ive got 5 worthless coasters so im pretty aggravated i have no idea what im doing wrong
I was going to post the log from imgburn but of course i forgot to save it before i closed it, so before i go and waste a 6th disc perhaps someone could tell me if im better off burning on the TS-L632D or plextor should i try at 4x or what? pretty much at a total loss of what to do at the moment
also im pretty sure all the discs ive burned so far are bad from checking them with abgx afterwards
the last few burns ive checked with abgx give errors reading layer boundary information

i have never used those dvd drive's so i wouldn't know, they will burn Dual layer disk's correct? i went a googling and i came across this for the first dvd drive.. say's it will burn DL, and the second one comes up with a link to buy the burner saying in the description that it will burn the disk's.. when you burn are you verifying the disk's? your booktype is set to DVD-ROM?

have you tried a different game img? and have you checked the iso before you burnt the game? i see you got the img from news bins, files tend to corrupt from time to time.. have you tried to check them with par programs to make sure you have downloaded the whole file? i have no experience with news bins or par, so i would not venture to try and explain it.. there are guides online. obviously you know what you are doing otherwise you wouldn't be able to have come this far.

the game and the .dvd file is in the same location? and they are the only files in that folder? and when you go to imgburn you click write files to disk>you select your source> and then you select the .dvd file and not the .iso file correct?

well, damn! im out of idea's.. the .dvd and the .iso are the same name? if so it's got to be something with the media, where did you buy the disks? if it was online idk how much of a time it will be to get the disk's exchanged.. real quick just to check, create an iso full of whatever and see if your computer is able to read it.. maybe some .avi files and such. but that is completely up to you. if you want to try it go ahead...

you have to be on live for burnout!!? i did not know that...
according to wikipedia "Newegg charges a 15% restocking fee for returns for a refund, but often waives the fee if the item is defective" curious.. did you try and burn the same img's for all the coasters?

well apparently you dont have to be on live but it makes you go through some annoying menu to sign on so i was just being stupid
ive tried burning a few different imgs
do you think it could be that they are 8x discs and ive been burning them to slow at 2.4 ?

i have always, always burned my backups at 2.4x this includes Batman, GTAIV, Bioshock, midnight club and modern warfare. i have never ever had a problem with the games what so ever. i highly doubt it is a write problem, of course your burner will not allow for the burning of 2.4x and forces a higher speed. my grandfathers laptop will not allow the burning of 2.4 and tries to force a 10x
