i have one last question and im sorry cuz its pretty dumb.
When I have burned a game and am playing it and say that microsoft has a update for it when i pop the game in. Should i be hesitant to download the update or will i be fine with my stealth patched game?

I think I've read every post on this thread so far. Has anyone with 1.61 been banned?

I just finished reading every single post in here and i dont remember if anyone has! Does that mean i have ADD?
All kidding aside, from what ive read its being stated that firmware is not the problem, so im assuming this is because every firmware version in question has a person who has been banned.

Has firmware ever been the issue. Isn't it usually (always) doing something dumb that gets u banned.

My version of Forza 3 is verified by abgx...does this mean it is not a review copy and is safe to play online? I heard a lot of places that people were getting banned from playing a known review copy. Will it be safe if it's verified by abgx?

I just wanted to throw my 2 cents and and say that it's not only gold members that are getting banned. I had let my gold subscription slide about 5 months before I decided to mod my system and I woke up to a ban this morning.
Every game I play has been verified through abgx, and I've never played a game before the actual release date. The only thing I've done on live is talk to a couple of friends while playing games and download some free content for a few games.
I'm running a Samsung with 1.51 on it. Oh well, I knew the risks of doing this, guess I'll just have to buy a legit system now for my official games.
Good... Bad... I'm the one with the gun

Is it remotely possible that abgx verification can give a false reading? I am just curious (no need to flame, im new).
Also, how many of the members that have survived previous ban waves and did they REALLY back up originals from original disk and not download ico's of their originals.
See the connection im trying to make? Maybe it is abgx from downloaded ico's. I know its always best to back up YOUR originals personally.
(For the record: I did not flash my drive, trying to just figure out what went wrong/right in the scene. I know there are always risk in banning so no need for a lecture on that)

Yes, there has been a few cases in which a bad rip was uploaded to abgx.

NON, it is not ABGX that is giving False Positives for security. and just for the record... it's .ISO not .ICO

Well im trying to make a connection POSSIBILY between abgx and originals. If M $ is not deteccting flash then it has to be the games itself and since many didnt play games before release it has to be the stealth itself...possibily.
So what im thinking, is it possibile for a false verification?

Yes and no. There was one case a few months ago where a bad rip was uploaded to abgx and games were not stealthed properly. But it won't give a "false verification" if the upload is good.
The most likely case for people being banned is not checking with ABGX and playing games before release date.
