Good burner + crap discs = fail, a lot of the time, so you want to use a decent burner AND good quality discs IMO. Have you actually tried to verify any of your burned discs in abgx360? It doesn't sound like you wait for games to verify anyway though.

It's easier to communicate if people type in plain English and use a bit of punctuation here and there. lol.
Ya i verify all the time. The only time I have not verified was mw2. I had an extra Xbox so I didn't verify, pretty much knew i was going to get banned so i didn't care...But if Good burner + crap discs = fail then why like i said over 50 games, 0 coaster, 0 bad burns. I still use verbatims, but i also use memorex alot. Just saying it's all about your burner. If you don't think so then your burner probably blows.

Honestly, using lazy, gibberish, 'txting' English is disrespectful to the people trying to read your posts. It isn't an English class, but if we can't understand what you are saying, it sucks for everyone.
Honestly, I won't even respond to posts that I can't understand after reading one time.

Because not everybody wants to read simple-minded gibberish. I can rattle off texts on a phone as quickly as any teen, however i nor the majority of readers want to read such nonsense on forums. Imagine the uproar if a daily newspaper did the same.
Now can those that don't know any better, stop following the text speakers like lemmings and type properly. I get sick and tired of seeing my own dancing skeleton signature on threads, i shouldn't have to constantly state the obvious. Post properly or not at all.
Ok, fine I'll try. But this is not a newspaper lol.

Last reply to you on this subject. 'Try' isn't sufficient, it's not up for debate. To quote Yoda - "There is no try". I can understand gibberish speak perfectly well, but i shouldn't have to, and some people just plain can't understand it, and even in this day an age, they shouldn't have to. Until such time that the Admins decree that gibberish is the norm, it'll still be classed as disrespectful, ignorant and simple minded.

Now give it up, it's 04:30 here and i want to count sheep, not characters left in a text message.

I said fail a lot of the time not always fail. It's not all about the burner either. If it was, we'd all be using the cheapest discs on the market, cos it would make no difference if only the burner mattered.
When I talked about verification, I was also talking about verifying your burned discs in abgx360, not just verifying before you burn because as I said, a burn can appear to be good, but when you run the disc through abgx360 it can fail to verify.

Seriously think internet arguments are pointless. What do you all gain from telling these kids how they should and shouldn't type? Just ignore their post and move on with the topic at hand which is far far more serious than the laziness of some teen.

Indeed they are, however i don't do arguments, i just mop up after lazy children.

I would much rather ignore it, but where do we draw the line, then it'll be ignore the spam, ignore the foul language, ignore the disinformation, ignore the flaming etc etc.
It doesn't work that way. A lot of console sites allow all the above. Because most of them are started by badly behaved 12 year old kids. This site isn't like those.
As i say, i am 4 years past seeing my own dancing skeleton gif image on countless threads, the people responsible for all the above should have the maturity and common sense to know all this for themselves, then moderators wouldn't have to educate them. Now enough gibberish, the thread title/topic is MS Ban Hammer.

It's a very fair point and I too wish that people would have the decency to at least type legibly for us to better understand them. Ah I guess I've just been on too many forums arguing this point myself that I've given up caring. To be honest, I tend never to visit forums as a poster these days apart from when it's to my own gain for something I need answering, i.e this ban wave.

Continuing!
So possible variables that could flag true are:
Dashboard Update recognising hacked firmware.
Original NXE update logging 360's without a drive.
Bad media
I was banned whilst being offline so I was flagged for bannage without being in direct violation of their terms. I'm going to have to go with this update being the cause.

I know the feeling, after 4 years of this i feel like that far too often. But i like it here and don't like to see the place overrun with crap.

And therein lies a big part of the problem, regulars generally want to see/be in a nice place, those that just come here to leech and run (yourself not included) tend to have no respect for anything/anyone, which doesn't make sense as they'd get a better/quicker solution if they towed the line.
Anyways, this is all by the by, in a thread like this we're just going to continue to attract some of the wrong sort, as i've said before i'd close the thread but they'll be running amok around the place. I'm out of here, it's nearly 5am.

Should we update to 1.61 from Xbins for Sammys and Benqs ? Is the Xbins release a full complete revision of 1.61 or an unofficial release ?

I was banned yesterday 4th November. I was using Live on the 3rd November, used points to purchase Trials HD. Glad I did it then because now I wouldn?t be able to, bye bye 900 points.
All games I play are verified on ABGX before played so with that in mind I never play early, maybe the day before if I can verify then, but when I order games online I normally get them a day or two early so I don?t think that can really be classed as early. I?m banned though so maybe I?m wrong on that.
You play with fire you eventually get burned.

Just a though, but if I took my HDD off and put it on my mates 360 signed in as me and spent the points I have left over. Would that be ok or do you think I might run the risk or getting someone else banned?
I know we don't know how they ban people so anything is possible I guess, just wondered what people thought though.
Thanks

Just found another thread about Hdds off banned systems and all said there look ok. So I'll use my mates to spend those extra points I think.

PROBABLY not. I like to believe that because I have gold account, MS will have pity on me. But I know things are not that way.
My theory is that if you can log on live now and you're not banned, you probably survived that wave. I want that to be true, but no way to know it for sure.

I say again because this thread is a million posts long:
I encourage all who have been banned to recheck all of their disks with ABGX. Report back your findings.
From what I gather, some scene releases don't have a verified match in ABGX. Examples: SF4 - KFC, Halo ODST - AllStars, NFS Shift - PhaseZero, Fight Night Round 4 - CCCLX, Red Faction: Gorilla - Spare. So if you didn't fix them before burning, they will fail.
You wonder if these releases simply aren't in the ABGX database, or if ABGX is fixing them incorrectly. I find it unlikely that the release groups released bad rips after all, they are pros at this.

What you saying is that people played games that they beleived were stealth, but actually were not?
So if they test they tody, they might get that they were not stealthed?
Sounds possible.

But ABGX can do no wrong! By no means am I thinking that there is some sort of underlying conspiracy when it comes to verifying discs, but I do find it strange that there is only one group doing it.
