i remember b4 that i read on forum site that microsoft detects your modified 360 consoles by voltage so a unmodified 360 console has a normal voltage output and a modified 360 console has a different voltage output thats what i read b4 hope it helps

since c4eva has stated that this new firmware will be undetectable,that implies the last ones were.With that being said i will back this up by saying i also read the new system updates made it possible for m$ to detect the firmware hence this bigwave of bannings.I have not been on live to install the updates and I should surly be banned if everyone else is but i am not. My xbox is still under warrenty which means i am safe because i have not installed these updates from live.

Some people who have been banned have still been able to create a repair request and their 360 still shows "In Warranty" status. If M$ has been able to figure out how to detect modded drives by updates, I'm sure they have been logging info for quite some time now. So I wouldn't keep the "I'm invincible" attitude because more than likely your previous activity has been logged quite some time ago.

I never once said that or implied that. Im saying i will be banned a few days after i have logged into live because of these updates. Because i last logged in october 25th and was still fine and according to m$ i am still fine I think this at least says these updates have something to do with it IMO.I dont go onto live now because i think im not-invincible

Im leaning towards the opinion that M$ has you flagged from way earlier in the year and check out your friends etc then just sweep everyone up in the ban wave to create maximum publicity. So you probably will be banned but whether or not its down to updates is something only M$ knows at the mo.

If the moderators would stop deleting the links I post then you would have a better answer than what has been already stated in this thread.
The last firmware is definitely detectable due to the "stealth checks". The new fw is going to be very much like the orig fw with very minimal added to it. So no more stealth checks so if you burn a bad copy you are screwed.
Now if the moderator would leave my link you could see EXACTLY what c4eva is saying in the irc channel. But no...I guess that information should be deleted, NOT because the information is false (which it isn't, if it was I'd be fine with the removal of the links) but only due to the fact that I own the site...I guess they don't want people to have proper information.

hey guess what...your not the only person here that knows how to use IRC. besides C4 also said on logic sunrise the french site that the fw is being detected thru the bad angles that are SOMETIMES reported. just like with kreon fw when you rip a game sometimes it will report a bad angle and sometimes it wont and this is what ms is trying to catch when the disc is first loaded and spun up.
C4 suggested that it is best to install any game you wish to play to the HDD as to minimoze the use of the disc thus minimizing the chances of this error happening at all
I dont know if it helps but i went a step further and after i install to the hdd and then i want to play the game i disconnect ethernet then put in the disc and then start the game and when it loads up i then connect ethernet and connect to live. These extra steps probably do nothing since c4 didnt suggest it but its just a small peice of mind
