Hi Guys

Got my mates Xbox to flash and have come up against a slight problem.

Was using jungleflasher as with others did the half tray open etc and power down, then when i went to read the drive it just crashed, now when i try to eject the tray it doesnt open and all i get is a flashing green light and one red light.

I have deleted all the drivers for the VIA chipset which worked with others but cant see why this has crashed, seems to have buggered the drive up and i cant get into it?

Any ideas on how to sort this problem?

Thanks in advance

Usually a bad belt on the drive. I'd trash it and get a benQ

flashing the drive should have nothing to do with its physical state. i have read drives that were nothing more than the board themselfs left.hahaha. sammy is the hardest drive to mess with, but if you get windows to recognize it jungleflasher will do its job.

i cannot guarntee that this will work, but it did for me once. i searched for new hardware, instead of installing the xbox driver, i chose from a list and picked samsung dvd drive and it picked it up, even showed up in windows with a drive letter. you may give that a try.

Didn't I already tell you? If it sees the drive and doesn't eject, then the belt is bad. Try cleaning it. It will come back. Get a BenQ and spoof to that or you'll continue to have the problem.

Try dosflash then, I thought JF was seeing it. Use dosflash to flash back to OFW and JF to flash to 1.6.1
