me1, I assume you are not familiar with quantum mechanics & how to create a freak worm hole in the space time continuum then?
Ahh man!
Newbies!
Just joking. LOL

i know just a little bit about it--- Quantum mechanics is the study of matter and radiation at an atomic level, the fact that electrons can only exist at discrete energy levels which prevents them from spiraling into the nucleus, as classical physics predicts. And it is this quantization of energy, along with some other atomic properties that are quantized, which gives quantum mechanics its name.
i swear on your life i did not look this 1 up i new it
d;~)
ps is that why the time is wrong on what time it says i posted this 1??
lol

As I understand it, it is the study of sub-atomic particles (particle physics). Einstein tried to marry quantum mechanics with "normal" physics. the problem is that sub-atomic particles do not act in the same ways, due to the fact that normally, physics is bound by gravity, strong nuclear force (binds the atoms together, that is the force released by a nuclear reaction/bomb), weak nuclear force (radiation), magnetism & electricity (james clark maxwell - a Scotsman- discovered the relationship between the 2 in the 1870s I think! This was to provide a major help for Einstein in his theory of relativity). Sub-atomic particles are not affected by these forces. The grand unified theory (or unification) was his ultimate downfall. The physics did not work at sub-atomic levels. He also ignored other scientists with their theories. He was effectively trapped by his unwillingness to accept new information.
String theory & its' 12 dimensions, could provide some answers to this.
I did not look that up either. Right off the top off my head!
Pulsar.
BTW, I think my head is going to explode! String theory, now there is a discussion that could go on all night!

Quantum wormholes are thought to be much smaller than even protons and electrons, and until now no one has modelled what happens when something passes through one. So Sean Hayward at Ewha Womans University in Korea and Hisa-aki Shinkai at the Riken Institute of Physical and Chemical Research in Japan decided to do the sums.
They have found that any matter travelling through adds positive energy to the wormhole. That unexpectedly collapses it into a black hole, a supermassive region with a gravitational pull so strong not even light can escape. But there's a way to stop any would-be traveller being crushed into oblivion. And it lies with a strange energy field nicknamed "ghost radiation". Predicted by quantum theory, ghost radiation is a negative energy field that dampens normal positive energy. Similar effects have been shown experimentally to exist.THAT REMINDS ME I HAVE CONSTIPATION GOT TO GET SOME PRUNS TO HELP.

Thanks for that, very informative! Interestingly, rips in the space time continuum are not possible in the string theory. Hence wormholes are unable to form!

Me too, what gets me, is that I did not look any of that up. I am officially a geek! Also Einstien had difficulty believing that the universe is expanding. He based his theory of relativity on a static universe. Until Edwin Hubble proved the contrary. Einstein was without doubt a genius, but he was rather stuck in his ways. People like Ed Witten now lead the way in string theory. I have extreme difficulty in grasping the 12 dimension bit. way over my head. The mathematics involved are phenomenal! I love his "M" theory. "Magical, mystery or matrix, depending on taste". He completely blows my mind.

All this advanced (scientific?) discussion derived from a fart. Wonder if that's what "prodded" Einstein into action after a bowl of soup beans and cornbread?
