Just to clarify it a little more, DivX Plus HD certification means the device will at the very least be able to play H.264 videos with AAC audio in the MKVcontainer within our profile, along with the previous DivX files you may have (.divx/.avi). So it's a layer on top of the previous DivX certification.
There, you'll also find settings on how to make DivX Plus compatible files with x264. Staxrip already implemented these presets, so now, in addition to DivX 7, you've got several software choices for making your own DivX Plus HD files, along with support for DivX content you can buy from Filmfresh and CinemaNow.
You can hit me up at DivX Labs if you have more questions, but we're excited to see MKV support in Philips these devices :-)
