Hi guys!
I am a newbie here and have read a lot of your hints and tips. Thanks!
Anyway my main problem is still the same as for many others: How can you at all be able to play online even if you have changed the ID correctly as long as the DNAS also check for a modchip?? If you start up the PS2 with the chip disabled, you will not be able to start the game! I guess there is no way to disable the chip after you have booted the console or what??
I have used the id changer and everything works fine until the DNAS check... I also tried an original game, and even that one was stopped by the DNAS when I booted it without disabling the chip... As soon as I booted with the chip disabled it worked well.
Can anybody finally tell if there is a solution or not??

when you boot a backup game (that is patched with the dnas id off the original), you leave your chip on. it will get past the dnas check.

Ok Sly... Are you sure about this?? I have some problems, but I managed to pass the DNAS check with NFS Underground. Then I am not allowed to make an account because it says the name I choose is already in use... Hmmmm... Now I have tried around 50 names... Any explanation?
Is it correct that you need an ID from an original NTSC game to use on an NTSC backup image??
What does the error code 833 means??

Thanks for your help sly! Then I am in desperate need of getting hold of a NTSC online game so I can get the DNAS id of it.... Somebody out there which can help?? We can make a deal....
Can somebody tell me why I have the problem creating an account at the EA server when trying to play NFS Underground online?? It passes the DNAS check, but I am told that the name I create is already in use... I have now tried around 100 different names... Hmmm...

are using the id off YOUR NFS, or one you rented/borrowed? If not, try just a bunch of random numbers and letters for your name.

I got an ID from another original PAL game with online capability. I added this ID to an .ISO of NFS Underground. Then I burnt the game on a DVD again.
As I said, it passes the DNAS check, so that is not the problem..
I have tried all types of combinations..

Ok, I used Nero & burned as Image.
I inserted my swap Disc (CD) in Ps2, then when screen came Load Program I inserted my ID Utility & pressed X on Load program. My screen turned RED. Nothing else happened. I burned the Id utility on a CD. What went wrong ?
Thanks,
Dan
