alright ill try a cd-r but i have about 4 games on dvd+rw and works perfectly fine (except about the online part).

Hey i read tht we can play killzone online by hdadvance with some patch by dvdrick is tht tru? thn wats the name of the patch? i dl'ed tht dvdrickswap magic patch for multiplayer....didnt wrk.(im usin a modchip i think its messiah3)

ive been planning to replace my modchip and ive been reading about dms4 chips... what does ELF's mean???
can anybody suggest what chip is the best chip out there for online gaming??? thnx in advance.

toybitzdm i really dont think it matters wat chipp u got in your console the problem is on the bunred game all chips will work fine as long as the burnt game is patched as discribbed before

Hey guys I have read all the posts and I dont think i found a solution to my problem. If the solution is there then im sorry but any help would be appreciated. I have rented madden 05. I used disc id utility to obtain the disc id from the original obtained from the video store. I patched it using the patching utility and then burned it. I have a dms3 chip. When I put in the system it boots up just fine and then i go to the online option. I then recieve a dnas error during the authentication process. Do i need to put my chip into stealth mode and if so how? sorry for the long post but thanks in advance for any suggestions

I am not sure it just said disc error. I will check in about an hour and find out what the error number is. any suggestions as to how to fix this though???

The dnas error recieved was error 881. I have also since obtained a disc id from ghost recon 2 and tried using that id to play online on madden 2005 because i heard that if you can obtain a valid disc id from any game it will work on every game. However i recieved that samme dnas error 881. I am not sure if anyone has a solution but any suggestions are welcome.

881 is ps2 hardware incompatibility. Do you have an official ps2 network adaptor? Cable or dial up?

I have an official ps2 network adapter running on a cable connection. I since have also tried playing online with nfl street 2 using the actual disc and a backup and also recieved a dnas error of 881. do you think that maybe my machine id was banned or what could be the problem.

I have downloaded the disc id files myself, burnt the cue to cd-r, which intailled to make a cd with the following files/folder, ZPADDING, SYSTEM, SLES_666.00, 0PADDING, DATA(folder). i then insert this cd into my ps2 and it goes to the red insert valid ps2 disc. my ps2's not chipped and this is my first time burning bin/cue files. help am i doing something wrong???

for starters you will need to mod your ps2. and in regards to your disc id disc did you just copy the files onto the cd or did you use the cue file add the proper files onto the disc for you.

i used alcohol 120% to select the cue file to burn a image and it created those files on the disc for me as i said ive never done this before so i wasnt sure if i had done it right?? i wouldnt let me select the bin file, i used other threads on here to sorta guide me, it burnt at maximum speed, do i need to slow the speed down for the ps2 to recognise the disc??? so wont my ps2 reconise the disc id cd with out being chipped?? do i even need to patch the dnas file if i dont intend to use the game on the net

Dj zup. before anything understand this:
1)to play burned games on your ps2 you need a chip.
2)to play your burned game online you need the utility disc, that will get the id from the original game, which you need to patch to the burned game in order to be able to skip them DNAS errors.
3)the ps2 with the chip in it, will be able to play any burned games on dvd-r or on cd-r.
4)the utility disc is a cd-r so you need the chip in your ps2 to make it work.
you got it?
it seems that you got no chip and u r tryin to play burned games....
if so get a chip.

ohh and about the burning of the .cue file you probably did it right ...
all you do is select the cue file and it automatically loads everything else (BIN file).

cool thanx guys, im not trying to play yet. just trying to understand everything berfore i get a chip and start off. any ideas on best chip for scph50002? ive been told that the mesiah chip puts a hard load on your laser

I have a dms 3 chip and it works great. My only complaint is being able play online. I am not sure exactly how to play the backups online using the dms 3 chip except that i think it can. Other than that Its been a great chip that has plenty of flash upgrades and various boot modes to play dvd movies to divx movies.

ShadyBase, i remember reading on other threads that there are ps2s that can not read the cd version of the "Utility", and that there was a dvd version which i dont know anything about. maybe thats the problem but like i said am not sure try searching threads again.
