error 864 meaning the media is bad that i should re burn it or something, or that the dnas code isnt valid?

sly, you posted this on page 5 about half way down. i read this after giving it a try. i was able to backup and go online with the backup. it pased the dnas test. i didn't play the game. i got as far as selecting the region. it then asked me if i wanted to play as the username that was saved on my memory card or create a new profile. how far will this allow me to go before i get an error? what is the usual criteria for getting my ps2 banned..... ie.... multiple attempted violations, a single violation? any information would be usefull. thank you.

i think that right before you goto actually play the game, it will give you an error about cheating.

just got the dvd version of the idsc id utility. there are a lot of file in the zip file. which ones do i need to burn unto the DVD?

i rented madden 05 and fight night 2, has anyone had success playing these backups online? and if so can i just use the rentals' dnas id or will my ps2 get banned if someone rents the game and plays it online?

Hey sly, I can tell your the man to see when we have problems. I dl'ed the id utility from the site you posted on this thread and it seams to be the cd version. where can i get the dvd version from? Also, I tried the cd-r version with swapmagic and it didnt work. Do I need an actual chip for this to work? Thanks alot. I forgot to mention that when I insert the utility disc, it spins then i get "not a ps2 disc"

Do you add the patch files to burned disc or on a seperate one? (The files you get using the ID Utility)
If it's not broken, break it.

From what I understand you take the numbers you get from the id utitilty (from your original game) and then insert them into your iso(backup) using the image patcher program.

i am guessing splinter cell:pandora tomorrom is the only game in whole ps2 that cant be play online if u make backups(u cant try everything but u will not make it to work).

CAN somebody help me .I patch the socom II to play online.when the DNAS checking it goes in but it said that you are cheating or use something. you are banned.

dude that means u are banned from ps2 online.did u use a friends game to patch ur socom2?u see if 2 people playuse the same id in the same game to go to online then both of them get banned.call in the ps2 phone number and asked them about the online banned.
