Hi Lads/Lasses,
I think I am officially thick, I can not get my SV6 box to scan any programs....no signal.
I have a v*rgin broadband phone line just fitted into my house into this a d-link splitter is plugged, a asdl connection into my router and a phone plugged into the other, a ethernet cable runs from the back of my router into the back of my SV6 box, what more do I need? Also my box will not let me exit the menu screen?
Any help?

E45 Thanks for the reply but I do not have a coax cable, my broadband comes in direct through a phone line box, and then goes to a wireless router. I followed the instruction and when scanning I get s 10% and Q 10% and it finds no channels.

do you have a live feed coming in from your cable ?
do you have a providers box ?
did you put the software on your box ?

I dont have a providers box in this house its just a asdl line into a wireless router what do you mean live feed, new to this game....

live cable feed the box just dont work on the net on its own you also need a live cable tv feed as well if you dont have that it wont work

Give details on how normally your TV Cable (or Coaxial Cable) plugs into your TV.

Just from a wall socket, I believe that it is from a digital ariel in the loft.

ok mate you will need a min sub from your provider NOT FTA aerial which you are using
and that box will NOT work on that aerial so get on to your provider and get a min sub from them

hey people
can u help?
i have the starview HD Combo LAN box and managed to get the channels, only issue... managed to get the HomeStreaming programme, but I need to know what site I need to go on to be able to get the videos and movies from PC to my TV and vice versa.
I can get the homestreaming programme connected with the box, the screen does come up on my TV, but it does not give me option to select any downloaded link. Am I meant to get the videos and movies from a specific site to be able to view on my tv screen? or do I need another programme that will connect the starview box and Homestreaming which is on my PC.
any help and advice is gona be reali appreciated!

You download the stuff from anywhere you can, and store it on your PC and can then stream it from there to your box.
Whatever you say, say nothing when you talk about you know what for if you know who might hear you, you know what youll get. Youll be sent off to you know where for you would not know how long. Maybe I could search through the threads so you dont have to ??

I installed the latest software carling with fix and box glitching all the time. Carling original was alot better. I have since installed Guiness as you advised but no joy. Want to go back and install Original Carling but box will not let me. Somebody posted a fix here and then took it off that it was bricking some boxes before all hell brook loose in Dublin and we have not heard anything again.
