I am using the latest version of all the apps. When I try to send the files to Nero or an iso image to Decrypter directly from DVD Shrink, the resulting burned DVDs are not readable from a DVD-ROM.
When I take the post-Shrink files and burn them on my own using Nero, I have no problems.
What are you trying to play the DVD's in? Do they work playing in PowerDVD? If they work from Shrink/Nero but not from Shrink/Decrypter via ISO mode I'm thinking it might be differences of the DVD-Rom booktype setting if your drive supports this feature. I guess what we really need is more information about your burner/system, etc. Anything you can tell us will help.
I am burning with a Pioneer A05. The default settings for DVD-Data in Nero Express will burn a DVD that will successfully play in a 16X DVD-ROM.
If I use DVD Shrink and then burn manually with Nero Express, I have no problems. When I try to automate Shrink launching and burning with either Nero or DVD Decrypter, the resulting burned discs are not recognized in the burner or the separate DVD-ROM. The discs are not recognized in file explorer and will also not read from PowerDVD.
Using Shrink/Nero, I send the files to be burnt. Using Shrink/Decrypter, I send an ISO to be burnt. Neither seems to be working.
You mentioned that you are using the latest version of Nero. This might be the problem. I noticed after updating to this version from ver 6.3.1.6. that every DVD I burned using Nero/Nero Express was not recognized on my set-top player or Samsung DVD-ROM drive. It was ONLY playable on my dvd burner (Sony DRU-530A). So I reformatted my HD, installed the earlier ver of Nero and then my DVDs worked again. Just for kicks I updated Nero the most current version and it didn't work again. Thus, my conclusion is that the problem for you may lie with your version of Nero. Try an earlier version.
