Well the probe 2 isn't even the right probe for the 707 method anyway. You need the probe one. Yes you need to solder and cut traces if you want to dump the firmare properly. Full dump, dumps the laser calibration that will keep the life of your laser.

this states you dont need to do that.
No Solder Add-on!!
After the amazing success of the Xecuter LT Switch solution for Liteon drives, Team Xecuter have launched the latest addition to their CK3 family of products ? the FIRST complete NO SOLDER* solution for the new version Liteon DVD drives ? the CK3 Probe v2.
This is targeted to installers who require a multi-use no solder* solution to the new Liteon drives ? or to the users who simply don?t have the skills to solder the cheaper Xecuter LT Switch alternative.
Still retaining the original CK3 Probe function of dumping the 74850 key (the only product to date to have both original Probe v1 and Probe v2 LT Switch functions in the same device), but now also enabling full firmware access of the new 83850V2 and 93450 drives ? you can easily switch between PROBE and LT Switch Modes.
A complete all-in-one solderless* solution! Installers can use this again and again and again and again ? No rebuild boards ? No soldering* ? NO PROBLEM!
The CK3 Probe 2 connects to both the CK3 Lite and CK3 Pro connectivity kits and includes full status LED?s and an extra protection circuit against accidental shortages on the DVD PCB.
Feature list:
The First No-Solder Solution For ALL Liteon Drives including no trace cut for Liteon 74850!
Original CK3 Probe Function (Liteon 74850 DVD Key) - No Trace Cutting !
New No-Solder LT Switch Probes (Liteon 83850V2 & Liteon 93450) - Small PCB Trace Cuts - Repaired With Special Conductive Glue
New ©MULTI-R Feature !
Improved Liteon Winbond Chipset Support
Power / Status / Standby LED's
New Protection Circuit To Protect Against Accidental Shortages (LED Permanent On Syndrome)
Fits to CK3 Lite and CK3 Pro

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude, you just quoted a guide. That guide is the the ADD ON as stated above which is the LT switch. You still have to make 2 CUTS, and use the messy glue.
