ps2 to computer monitor

Sorry if this was asked already.
I just got a ps2 for my little lad to use,but i want to hook it up to the computer.
so i can watch the tv.I tried to use a composite to usb grabber but didnt work well.
I have windows 7 and xp.So in short is there a lead that will allow me to use the computer monitor with the console.

I have a acer 23 inch screen monitor with windows 7 (big mistake) ,anyway there are no slots for vga or hdmi only usb slots. my old xp computer has the vga slot.I would have to get that out to use the vga cable.I am trying to see if there is a such thing as composite cable to a usb adapter ,but then it may not even work.Thanks again

So this is a computer / monitor single unit? In that case, it's likely that there are no video inputs on your device, as they only intend for you to use the computer, not an external device. In that case, you might look to get a USB TV tuner. A quick Google search for "USB TV tuner" gives results with a coaxial connection to USB, and they seem to run around $50 or so. Not 100% certain what's available for HDMI or composite.
In general, tho, an all-in-one machine that has the monitor built in (like a TouchSmart, or nearly any notebook computer) was not designed to use as just a monitor, so they don't give you a video input.

I can use my xp with a vga cable its just the hassle of having to keep unplugging the cable .Thanks again
