i say yes,it doesnt affect any netflix,zune etc,just games that have ap2.5

I'll give it a shot then. Anyway, MS are some tricky bastards. I remember tossing every disc I had that didn't have SS v2 and I'm hoping I won't have to do that again for AP 25.

has anyone tried flashing back to stock updating then reflashing?
or even reflashing after update? seeing how the new update is a firmware update?
and im assuming sammy drives are safe from this as well as older hitachi?

We have over 100 games and the only one's that don't work are Halo reach, Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2. which has been mention.

So If I dont update on LIVE, I won't have problems, right??
I did however,use the fall 2010 update via usb from the MS website. That doesnt include the update that's causing all this disarray, right?

I'm having the same problems. My backup of MW2 doesn't work but my original works. Unfortunately that's not good enough for me because the middle of my original disc is destroyed. My backup of Black Ops doesn't work either, I'm using my original now. I never made a backup of my Halo Reach but I hear that's having problems too.
I'm on iXtreme LT and I'm still not flagged
REMEMBER! YOU MUST TURN OFF YOUR CONSOLE WITHIN 3 MINUTES OF FREEZING ON THE BLACK SCREEN TO PREVENT BEING FLAGGED! THIS IS AN IXTREME FEATURE!
I'm gonna try out a Samsung modded drive and post back. I probably won't be able to post until the weekend though. From what I know, Samsung drives will work fine. They are unable to read the AP25 checks in a disc.

That's Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Maybe that's what carjen means though. Assassin's Creed 2 was not previously affected by AP2.5 and there is no patch for it.
carjen - If you meant AC: Brotherhood, just rip your backup with ImgBurn, run it through the latest version of abgx360, which will patch it, then burn the image back to a disc. You'll need LT+ for it to work.
Funksoulb, I tried what you said, not working. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Is there a step by step to follow someplace? do you mean rip my backup to the hard drive, then run through abgx360. I have the latest flash firmware I believe 1.6, if that is the latest. Please help. thanks

ive got a few noxes knocking arround and my live account runs out in 6 days. id rather not renew and lose it all

Put ImgBurn in read mode and make an ISO of the game (you have to use a backup for this, not the original). Run that ISO through abgx360 to patch it, then burn it to a new disc.
This will only work if you are running Lite Touch Plus 1.0 or 1.1. With any other firmware, it's not gonna work, so if you say you have iXtreme 1.6, that's why it's not working for you.
@nicke20 - They can ban both, but it's usually always just a console ban. They have banned people's gamertags in the past for playing pirated games before the release date, such as Forza 3, which saw a lot of people get permanent gamertag bans.

thps4eva mentioned "Use xval and see if you're flagged. If you are, probably." What's XVAL and how can I use it to see if I'm flagged? :)

you should be on LT + 1.1 not 1.6

Download XVAL on to your PC then put the xbox serial number and and X Encryption number that you will find in system info bit of the xbox dash and it will then tell you if you are flagged or not!

What does rescanning the ISO patch? I used imgburn and made an ISO of black ops and scanned it through abgx but everything is green and didnt seem to patch anything, Im on LT+ 1.0 so if I burn black ops again will it work?
