Analyst: Motorola Xoom sales are 'weak,' Honeycomb is a 'mess'

article published on 9 March, 2011

Yesterday, Verizon publicly stated that sales of the Motorola Xoom tablet are very strong, but at least one analyst disagrees. Trip Chowdhry of Global Equities Research says today that sales are in fact, "very weak," and short battery life and "poor software quality" are killing the tablet. Says Chowdhry (via Barrons): Google Honeycomb is suffering from frequent application freezes ... [ read the full article ]

What exactly does a Xoom have that other don't?

Ring in here Verizon (Xoom) fanboys.

I'd bet that 90% of Xoom owners could care less about the hardware itself and only bought because it's "only on Verizon".

THis of course is another example of Verizon's shady and deceitful practices. They say one thing when it's really another. Their arrogance won't allow them to criticize themselves EVER EVER.

I challenge one person to identify one single instance where Verizon said "Ooops, our fault"
Here comes the rain:

Ok ok......I concede to those BUT.......they do indeed make every effort to not admit even when they have been blatantly busted. It is rare that Verizon admits mistakes or wrong doing.

The math mistake doesn't really apply as it's centered on one individual and an honest error.

And though the FIOS thing is isolated too......it's also a FIOS thing......and FIOS is something they're trying to market. Unlike their cell service where it's already established and arrogance already set in. Either way, it's isolated and mind you.....LOOK WHAT HE WENT THROUGH TO GET "WHAT'S DUE". No one cares about remedying a situation when you have to jump through hoops of fire to get it done.

The 50MM refund was a result of FCC contradiction. Basically Verizon did what they do as a shady, arrogant company. They backtracked and tried to cover their ass at the expense of others rather than just admitting and correcting.

The listing error was minor and shouldn't be recognized as it was even big enough to merit national news.

Try looking up (as you did so diligently about finding "Verizon apology articles) "Verizon shady practices". Can you say "plethora"?

I will say "Challenge met" though. Good to know they are "willing"
