Xcopy Xpress does not copy chapters etc whenever it backsup to a single disc; just curious does shrink and nero copy chapters and features when copying to a single dvd. New to this and have not tried Shrink.

Sorry Flip, but it didn't answer my question. I don't believe you can activate any DVD XCopy programs that Rip at this point in time due to court rulings etc.

If your already using Xpress, and it's already activated... the new version will work. You don't have to activate everytime you upgrade.

Using DVD Decrypter / DVD Shrink / Nero ...
You can copy the whole movie. Shrink and Decrypter are free, and if you've already got Nero that's a plus.

I've always though Xpress will only do the movie and not the extras. But someone mentioned that this newer version will. I say give it a try and post your results :O)

Flip 218, burned 2 no extra features or chapters, movies starts, no initial options to jump to other chapters or features. Your friend getting the chapters may have been to the length of the dvd. I've backed-up movies using dvdx-copy gold on one disc and have all the options on the backup. I appreciate your help. You seem very knowledgeable. I haven't tried shrink or Nero yet, still wondering if they copy the menus etc?

I believe it will copy the menu... unless you re-author. I've never done the re-author mode, and I just pay attention to the quality of the backup(make sure it don't skip and all). But I think all my menus and special features still work.

Most of my back ups with Shrink are in Reauthor mode and you don`t get working menus and extras in that mode but you can jump to the next chapter or choose which chapter to watch - that you can do. If you insist on menus and extras do not use reauthor mode just copy the entire disk. You`ll sacrifice a bit of quality but that`s a small price to pay.
