I have run across a problem with shrink recently. I have been using this for about 6 months now and haven't had any problems. I just starting backing up some discs again and about half of the ones I do just won't play. They will play in my Plextor708A fine, but when I take them out to play them in my living room, there is nothing. Some play the warning screen and then just stop, but others will play flawlessly. Anyone have an idea??

No, none!! I was thinking of reinstalling it, but I have no idea why that would be the case. For instance, I backed-up Along Came Polly perfectly, along with 4 or 5 other discs that work perfectly. But then I tried Monster and Cabin Fever and neither of them work at all. The Cabin Fever warning screen pops up and then it just stops the disc. Is there any other alternative to DVDShrink.

Tonnes:-Nero recode, dvd x copy, dvd rebuilder,

however shrink is, i think, the only decent free one so it would pay to work it out

If all your burns play fine in the burner, but not in standalone, i would be looking at media compatability
