I moved this thread here, because all the ones in the know, are here. :)

Does anyone know if there will ever be any new versions of DVD Shrink, beyond the current 3.1.7.6 version?

Just wondering, because it looks pretty difficult (for me) to use DVD Rebuilder and CCE Basic, although, I should give it a go and see if I can get it to work.

Since DVD Shrink's author went to work for Ahead on Nero Recode he said there would only be bugfixes and not future versions. In reality he's added a couple of features, but I don't expect the compression algorithms to be improved in the future or any major features or GUI enhancements. If you want to try out Rebuilder and CCE, I should have updated versions, separated into Basic and Advanced guides, submitted this week (hopefully tomorrow). I'm hoping this will make it a little less intimidating to learn. And of course if you have any questions about it you can always post a question and we'll be happy to help out ;) Judging from your signature, you certainly have the right hardware to make good use of it.

Thanks Vurbal. I am willing to give it a go and see what happens. There is no doubt in my mind that I will have questions. LOL

Thank you, too, brian100. I read the info on the links you posted. Oooooh, my head hurts when I read all of the technical stuff. :)
